Arts and Sciences General Support Fund

Your gift to the Arts and Sciences General Support Fund offers flexibility for the college to fund things like student and faculty research and travel, bringing speakers to campus, new technology to enhance learning, or other needs that may arise.

As the largest college on the Athens campus, more than 4,000 undergraduates and 700 graduate students choose a major within the College of Arts and Sciences. With your support, the college can respond to the ever-changing needs of students and faculty by using this account to fund a variety of activities.

“Last year we used this fund to support an OHIO participant in a project run by the American Physical Society that was designed to elevate the visibility of minority and women physicists on Wikipedia," said Dr. Florenz Plassmann, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. "It is great to have the flexibility to support these types of important and out-of-the-ordinary projects. Your support is instrumental to the college experience for students in the College of Arts and Sciences. Thank you for showing our students that you believe in them and the greatness they can achieve."
